The flexible mesh structure allows woven gabions to adapt to slight ground settlement and changes in terrain without easily losing their overall integrity. This makes them suitable for engineering projects where the foundation or surrounding ground may experience minor movement.
For longer gabion boxes, internal diaphragms can be installed at intervals to divide the structure into separate compartments. This helps control the movement of filling material and improves the uniformity of the finished gabion.
Woven gabions are commonly used for retaining walls, riverbank protection, channel lining, slope stabilization, erosion control and other civil engineering applications. Mesh size, wire diameter, box dimensions, coating type and diaphragm arrangement can be selected according to project requirements.
