Chicken Wire

Chicken wire is a lightweight hexagonal wire mesh made by twisting wires together. Its flexible structure makes it suitable for poultry enclosures, garden protection, animal cages, and other light-duty fencing applications. Different mesh openings, wire diameters, roll sizes, materials, and finishes are available.

Chicken wire is produced by continuously twisting galvanized steel wire or stainless steel wire into hexagonal openings. The twisted construction gives the mesh surface good flexibility, allowing it to adapt to curved or irregular surfaces during installation.

For galvanized chicken wire, pre-galvanized wire is used directly for weaving. PVC-coated chicken wire is produced by applying a PVC coating after the mesh has been woven, providing an additional protective layer over the finished mesh.
